Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

Abbe Minor operates abbeminor.com, the online store, the contact and inquiry forms, and the private Email Assistant described below. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information is collected, where it comes from, how it is used, when it is shared, how it is protected, and the choices available to you.

When this policy says “Services,” it means this website, the Shopify store, customer inquiries, purchases, consultations, and the Email Assistant. “Personal information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include information that has been de-identified so it can no longer reasonably identify you.

Information collected

The information collected depends on how you use the Services and may include:

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone number, billing or shipping address, and location.
  • Inquiry information: messages, project details, build preferences, timing, budget or purchase-readiness information, files or photos you choose to provide, and other information submitted through a form or email.
  • Purchase and transaction information: products viewed or purchased, cart activity, order history, payment status, refunds, and delivery details. Payment card information is processed by Shopify and its payment providers rather than stored directly by Abbe Minor.
  • Account information: account identifiers, preferences, and settings if you create or use a customer account.
  • Consultation information: booking details, attendee name and email, appointment time, booking status, payment status, and information you provide when scheduling a call.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device type, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, links selected, and information about how and when the website is used.
  • Communications: emails and other messages sent to or received from Abbe Minor, including replies and customer-service history.

Sources of information

Personal information may be collected directly from you when you browse the website, submit a form, join a list, make a purchase, book a consultation, or communicate with Abbe Minor. It may also be collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, or received from service providers that operate parts of the Services, such as Shopify, Gmail, Cal.com, payment processors, hosting providers, and analytics services.

How information is used

Personal information may be used to:

  • Provide the website, store, products, downloads, consultations, and customer support.
  • Process transactions, deliver purchases, manage reservations, and communicate about an order or appointment.
  • Receive, organize, and reply to questions, purchase inquiries, collaboration requests, and build-related messages.
  • Create and manage customer accounts, remember preferences, and maintain business records.
  • Send marketing email when you have subscribed, and honor unsubscribe or opt-out requests.
  • Measure website performance, understand how the Services are used, troubleshoot problems, and improve the Services.
  • Detect spam, fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful or unlawful activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, establish or defend legal claims, and enforce applicable terms and policies.

Cookies, analytics, and Shopify

The store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information about visits, customer accounts, transactions, and use of the store so it can provide ecommerce, security, payment, and related services. Shopify and other service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, measure performance, prevent fraud, and support analytics or advertising where permitted.

For information about Shopify’s processing, visit the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal. Depending on where you live, you may also use this site’s data sharing opt-out page. A supported Global Privacy Control signal may also be treated as an opt-out request where required by law.

How personal information is shared

Personal information may be shared with service providers only as reasonably necessary for them to perform services on behalf of Abbe Minor. These providers can include Shopify, payment processors, digital-download providers, website hosting and infrastructure providers, email and calendar providers, booking services, analytics providers, fraud-prevention services, professional advisers, and customer-support technology providers.

Information may also be shared when you ask for or consent to the sharing, when needed to complete a transaction or booking, to comply with law or valid legal process, to investigate fraud or security concerns, to protect the rights and safety of Abbe Minor or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of business assets subject to applicable law.

Personal information is not sold to data brokers or information resellers. Google user data handled by the Email Assistant is subject to the additional, stricter limits stated below.

Google Workspace Email Draft Assistant

Abbe Minor uses a private email productivity tool called the Abbe Minor Email Assistant. Only the authorized operator of hi@abbeminor.com can connect the Google Workspace account. The assistant processes Google user data only to help manage customer inquiries.

Google data the assistant accesses

  • Gmail message and thread identifiers, sender and Reply-To addresses, subject lines, timestamps, headers, and message bodies for messages that match the website’s customer-inquiry workflow.
  • Drafts and sent messages in the related Gmail threads, as needed to create a reply draft, determine what happened to it, and improve future draft suggestions for the same authorized operator.

The assistant uses Gmail read-only and compose permissions. It does not request permission to modify mailbox labels. Compose access is used to create and manage drafts. Although that Google permission can technically allow sending, the assistant does not implement an automated send function. A reply leaves the mailbox only when Abbe reviews it and clicks Send in Gmail.

The Gmail read permission can technically permit broader mailbox access. The assistant is designed to search for and process only messages that match its customer-inquiry workflow and the related threads needed to prepare or evaluate a reply.

How Google data is used

The assistant uses the data described above to identify new inquiries, parse the information a customer submitted, screen likely spam, prepare a suggested subject and reply, create a Gmail draft, prevent duplicate drafts, record workflow status, and compare an approved operator’s sent reply with the draft. Inbound and sent reply pairs may be used as examples to improve future draft suggestions for that same operator. Google user data is not used for advertising, credit decisions, surveillance, or unrelated purposes.

How Google data is stored and protected

Gmail remains the system where messages, threads, and drafts are displayed. The assistant’s operational database may store message and thread identifiers, email addresses, subjects, timestamps, submitted form fields, relevant message text, draft text, workflow status, model and prompt metadata, and the final reply text when the operator sends a message. These records support deduplication, recovery, auditing, and better future draft suggestions.

Google data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access tokens, database credentials, and service credentials are kept out of public website content and are restricted to the systems that operate the assistant. Records are retained while needed to operate, improve, secure, and audit the assistant, or to meet legal obligations. A deletion request can be made using the instructions below.

How Google data is shared

Google user data is not sold. It is not shared with advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. It is shared only with service providers that process it on Abbe Minor’s behalf to provide the assistant:

  • Google and Gmail provide the mailbox, OAuth authorization, and draft storage.
  • Anthropic processes relevant message content and selected reply examples through its commercial API to generate a draft. We do not opt Google user data into model training or submit it as provider feedback.
  • Neon hosts the operational database used for workflow records and approved reply examples.
  • Vercel hosts and runs the assistant’s server-side workflow.

No person other than the authorized account holder reads Google user data through the assistant during normal operation. Access may be permitted when the account holder asks for help with specific data, when needed to investigate security or abuse, or when required by law.

Your controls and deletion requests

The authorized account holder can revoke the assistant’s Google access at any time from Google Account connections. Revoking access stops the assistant from accessing new Google data, but it does not automatically delete records already stored in the operational database.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of Google-derived records stored by the assistant, email hi@abbeminor.com. Please identify the Google account and the records covered by the request. We may need to verify the requester’s identity before acting. Deleting stored records may remove the examples used to personalize future drafts.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Abbe Minor Email Assistant’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

A plain-language description of the assistant and its permissions is available on the Email Assistant page.

Security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to protect personal information. These include HTTPS for data in transit, access controls, restricted service credentials, and security controls provided by the platforms that host or process the Services. No system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive information through ordinary email or website forms.

Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the Services, maintain transaction and business records, honor your choices, prevent fraud or duplicate processing, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted, de-identified, or securely archived as required by law.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing practices as those terms are defined by applicable law.

You can unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may still receive non-promotional messages about purchases, bookings, security, or customer service. To make a privacy request, email hi@abbeminor.com. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed, and some information may be retained when permitted or required by law.

Children’s information

The Services are not directed to children, and Abbe Minor does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age at which they may consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may contact hi@abbeminor.com to request deletion.

Third-party links

The website may link to services operated by third parties, including social networks, Amazon, Cal.com, and other external sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. A link does not make Abbe Minor responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, or content of the third-party service.

International processing

Service providers may process personal information in countries other than the one where you live. When applicable law requires a transfer mechanism, the relevant provider or Abbe Minor will rely on an approved mechanism such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Services, data practices, or legal requirements. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date, and additional notice will be provided when required by law.
